It has been some time since we have posted an update on our activity in Thailand. A lot of new things have been happening that I'd like to update everyone one.

In October, we added several new staff to our organization. Lek was hired as a full-time Field Officer. Originally from Trang province, Lek spent several years working in Florida (USA). Lek has been working hard to improve some of our more challenging areas. In addtion to him, we hired to part-time translators to help us work with hilltribe groups. Fang is our Lahu translator and Panya works with us in our Karen villages. Both have been extremely great assets to our work. We will be sad to say goodbye to Panya when he heads off to New Zealand for 6 months of study.

Lastly, we are quite excited to take a little field trip. Micro-credit is not a well-known concept in Thailand and very few organizations do so publically. With the assistance of PB Air, several of our staff will be travelling to Bangkok and Surin provinces to network with other micro-credit groups in the country.
