Common Interest would like to welcome Mr. Jumreon Yachid. Jumreon is our first Field Officer for the Province of Chiang Rai. Currently, Jumreon is the Director of another NGO that provide HIV/AIDS training for workplace environments. Jumreon also comes to us with prior experience as a Field Officer and appears to know somebody in nearly every village. We look forward to working with you, Jumreon.

Nobel Peace Prize

Common Interest would like to congratulate Muhammad Yunus and the Grameen Bank for the 2006 Nobel Peace Prize. Dr. Yunnus has been an inspiration for Common Interest in its goals of alleviating poverty in Thailand. In 2005, the Directors of Common Interest were honoured to meet Dr. Yunnus in Bangladesh. His work and dedication have shown the world how effective micro-credit can be. Congratulations!

Government Approval


Common Interest is pleased to announce the successful registration of our organization in Thailand. Common Interest Foundation is our Thai affiliate and fully approved by all levels of government to conduct our programs.

The Thai Board met on Oct 13 to officially open the foundation. Within three days of opening, the Board has already disbursed 5000 baht for emergency flood relief victims. In co-operation with Buddy Internet, Common Interest also presented a large amount of used clothing to the local Red Cross.
